Do I need any prior musical experience to take lessons?

Not at all! Our Virtual Music Lessons cater to students of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced players. Our instructors will work with you to create a customized learning plan that’s tailored to your individual needs and goals.

What instruments do you offer?

All orchestral strings (violin, viola, cello and double bass) and piano.

What equipment do I need for Virtual Music Lessons?

All you need is a device with an internet connection and a webcam—whether it’s a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Our instructors will guide you on how to set up for your lessons during your initial consultation.

Is the Program all virtual?

Yes, students receive weekly instruction online, as well as access to videos to review lesson content, practice exercises and learn at their own pace.

How much do Virtual Music Lessons cost?

This program is tuition-based and Volta is working with Step Up to also allow students to use their scholarship funds to cover tuition. All families that sign up will receive emails about pricing details and payment options. In the meantime, we invite you to join our wait-list and stay tuned for updates on pricing.

Do you take Step Up?

How to register for the program?

Families must Sign up first to be allowed to register during early registration. Program spots are limited, you must first sign up in order to receive early registration codes. Registration links will be sent in July.

When does registration open?

Our registration opens in July for group instructions. However, private instructions have open registration all year round.

Do you offer siblings discounts?

Yes! Only for group sessions.

What ages does the program take?

7 to adult for private lessons.
9-16 for the group sessions.

Will there be a registration fee?

Yes. All families that sign up will receive emails about pricing details and payment options. In the meantime, we invite you to join our waitlist and stay tuned for updates on pricing.

Will I be able to take a trial lesson?

Yes, for private instruction only and if you already have your own instrument. Trial lessons are at a fee of $40.

Do you offer Co-op opportunities and discounts?

Yes, discounts are provided case by case. Reach out to us to discuss more details.

Can I take lessons on multiple instruments?

Yes, we highly encourage learning multiple instruments. Discounts may be available, reach out to us to discuss more details.

What does the music curriculum include?

Our program provides culturally diverse music and folk tunes from around the world. We encourage our students to use the knowledge and tools they learn and get into the music lessons to bring music to their own communities and religions.

Do you provide instruments?

Yes, instruments will be rented through our system. However, you can take lessons on your own instrument if it’s the correct size.
